WALMER CASTLE, Kent. Watercolour of the "Funeral of the Late Duke of Wellington". After his death at Walmer Castle in September 1852 Wellington was honoured with an official state funeral at St Paul's Cathedral, London. This picture shows the massed ranks of soldiers and well-wishers lining the route as well as the funeral cortege.
